Ok, so today I was still feeling under the weather and after a breakfast of lemon water with fresh ginger followed by a big glass of green juice I made this for lunch. It’s been raining here and something soft and warm seemed the perfect thing for a rainy day with a cold.
1.5 cups Organic Oats
Filtered water (enough to cover)
Cinnamon (to your taste)
Maple Syrup (to your sweetness)
1/4 cup Currants
1/4 cup Walnuts (roughly chopped)
Sprinkle of Coconut Sugar
Add Oats and Water to medium saucepan and place on low to medium heat.
Add Cinnamon and Currants and stir frequently to prevent sticking. Once softened (5 to 10 minutes) serve.
Add extra Cinnamon, Maple Syrup, Walnuts and a sprinkle of Coconut Sugar to your own preferred sweetness.
