Hello and welcome to episode 55!
I am still in the process of recovering from surgery to help me breathe better through my nose which has meant I’m a little more snuffly than usual in this episode.
This week I was lucky enough to catch up with Michael Fields who stumbled across a whole food, plant-based diet after a wellness check up from his GP left him utterly shocked at the state of his health.
Michael, like so many of us shares his transition story and some of the many struggles he has encountered making the switch to a plant-based diet. I think both of us could empathise that this journey is not very often a linear one and that for many of us, adopting a plant-based diet leads to making a connection to bigger things, such as the impact of our food choices on the animals and the planet and that these realisations can have a huge ripple effect on our entire lives.
Michael’s story is one that many people living in Australia, America and the U.K and anywhere that the standard diet involves high levels of animal consumption and the consumption of processed foods, which is why it’s so important that stories like Michaels reach as many people as possible.
