Hello and welcome to Episode 61!

Week 2 of putting out 2 episodes each week! We have so many great guests coming up in the next week or so, but if you know of someone who you’d love me to interview, please let me know and I’ll do my best to ‘pressure’ them into coming on the show! ;-)

Like most of us, I have a lot going on leading up to Christmas and if you live around the Dandenong Ranges you can come hang out with me at a little cooking class and chat I’m hosting out of the local Church in the lovely little town of Tecoma on the 10th of December 2018. You can save your spot at this link: https://www.facebook.com/events/296015541122767/

If you’re not nearby, but don’t want to miss out, you can join me for a LIVE Webinar I’m hosting online via Zoom on the 16th of December 2018 which you can join via this link: https://zoom.us/m…/register/3bdc508570dffb2ed746f627e8486654

I will be talking all things plant-based during both sessions, but I won’t be cooking in the online webinar although, maybe next time if anyone would like that (Let me know in the comments if that would be something you would like me to organise? :-) ) I’m really looking forward to meeting some of you face to face and to make some delicious food to share with you or just to talk all about my favourite topic and answer any of your questions. :-)

Today we’re meeting 27 year old Blake West. In 2015 Blake was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis, I condition I’d never heard of prior to meeting him.

Myasthenia Gravis typically involves muscle weakness and fatigue and effects the signals telling your muscles to move.

Blake was experiencing muscle weakness and fatigue and then in 2017, his right eye wouldn’t open, his vision became doubled and he was unable to drive.

Blake went through a lot to get where he is today in the image you see here and I know his story will help other people with this condition to find hope.

If you or someone you love is living with Myasthenia Gravis, please take the time to SHARE Blake’s story with your family and friends on social media.

Thank you so much Blake and thank you ALL so much for listening and supporting this podcast and sharing the stories told by the incredibly brave men and women who have come on the show.

I’m so grateful to you all for helping me to share this message.
