Hello and Welcome to Episode 30!!

Whoop! Whoop!

I'm actually so crazy excited that we have made it to 30 episodes of this podcast that I might just have a fancy, low fat, whole food, plant-based dinner tonight to celebrate!!

This weeks episode brought me to tears... This week Joyce Hale shares her Lupus journey with us, and if you don't feel your heart crack open as she describes her life prior to adopting a whole food, plant-based diet, I don't know what will.

During this interview, Joyce shares with us her long and painful road to recovery and it is nothing short of miraculous. Obviously if she is on this show, her story has a wonderfully happy ending but gee whiz this woman has overcome more obstacles than many of us will in our entire lifetimes and I think that's why her story is so very powerful.

Joyce spent the first more than 40 years of her life completely debilitated by her disease, living with multiple seizures every day, many stays in hospital every year, damage to her heart, her lungs, even her bones! She literally had to be taught how to speak and eat all over again after Lupus ate away her jaw bone! Can you even imagine?!!

Her story touched a place in my heart that has made me even more motivated to continue to share these stories with you all for as long as I can. The world needs more stories like Joyce's.

If you or someone you love has Lupus, I highly recommend listening to Joyce, even if it helps you to feel less alone, but better still, if it gives you HOPE.
