Hello there and welcome to episode 99 of The Corinne Nijjer Podcast!
I don’t know about you, but I think it’s pretty obvious that I’m excited to be one episode away from reaching the 100th episode of this podcast.

 One hundred episodes!

 One hundred plant-based recovery stories.

One hundred stories from people who had the courage, commitment and determination to step out of their comfort zones and try something different.

One hundred HOPE stories.

I set out to reach one hundred episodes, knowing there were so many more than one hundred stories to be told. There are still so many stories to be told and with every new story, another person makes the switch and changes their life for the better and will become a future story. There is no limit to how many hope stories are out there as every day more and more people wake up to the truth that a whole food, plant-based diet is the optimal diet for human health and disease prevention and reversal.

One hundred episodes = One hundred prescriptions.

With every story I am newly inspired to continue this podcast to one thousand episodes because one thousand episodes is A LOT OF NOISE. One thousand episodes is enough noise to finally quieten all the confusion that still exists in the diet world. I want one thousand episodes to finally silence all the:

‘I’m trying keto this week because I want to grow bigger muscles’ and ‘but carbs make you fat’ along with ‘I’m still so confused about what to eat’

Ok, now I haven’t even brought up this weeks inspirational guest yet! This week I was so excited to chat with the lovely Heather Barlow-Kaufman, wife to Tim Kaufman AKA Fatman Rants. Heather sat down with me and shared the other side of Tim’s powerful and at times heart wrenching story (Check out Episode 56 for Tim’s story).

One of the things I most loved about speaking with Heather was hearing her perspective on supporting her husband through his own health journey and the love and commitment she showed throughout all the highs and low points of their marriage. Their love story really melted my heart and to see them together now and looking so fit, vibrant and strong and more in love than ever, is overwhelmingly uplifting.

Through supporting Tim and slowly making the switch to a plant-based diet, Heather has lost 90 pounds and is now the fittest she’s ever been in her life! She looks seriously ripped these days and like so many guests that have come on the show, Heather has gone onto become an athlete in her own right!
